Having been through my draft this past weekend and now having had time to consider and weigh my decisions, here are a few players I WISH I had drafted for various reasons.
Ryan Grant: This is not just a home town pick here. I watch a couple of the Packer games this pre-season and no taem in the league looked better. Yeah, yeah, I know. It is just preseason, but Grant looked sharp, quick and powerful. If I had to bet right now, I would make him a top ten fantasy back this year, if not a top 5.
Aaron Rodgers: Again, not a homer pick. I just read a Don Banks article on SI.com and Rodgers had an God-like 150+ pass rating. Again, just wish I would have taken him when I had that chance.
Hakeem Nicks: If the Giants were hoping Nicks would the role of Plaxico Burress, he just might. Two long TDs receiptions and a really nice game this past weekend give them hope... and perhaps a few fantasy owners who can get him late in many drafts.
Knowshon Moreno: I am not sure I trust picking Moreno. McDaniel is a disciple of the Boston Smurf, meaning, RBBC, yet, he is the best option in Denver and could be a nice pick as a value pick.
Brandon Marshall: I never truly want a malcontent on my fantasy team. Playing FF is also about having fun and who wants a cry baby on their team. But, if Marshall does get traded to the Jets, picking him up might be worth your time from a production stand point. Right now, the best the Jets have to offer is Jericho Cotchery.
Joey Galloway: One would think, with Moss and Welker already on the team, it is easy to forget about Galloway, but if he can mesh with Brady, Galloway could have a nice surprising year.
Fred Taylor: Speaking of the Patriots, Fred Taylor has already established himself as the lead back and starter (what happened to Laurence Maroney?). Even with how New England shares the load and uses the hated RBBC, Taylor should have a nice 1000+ and 8+ year.
