Depth Chart Analysis II

I started going through the depth charts, taking a look at the note worthy movements and camp battles now that they are nearing their end. Just a few nuggets for you to digest. I will take a look at half the AFC today, an continue through the next few days.

Houston:
- Keep an eye on Kevin Walter. He out performed many better known names last year.

Indianapolis:
- Ok, who is going to pick up where Marvin Harrison left off? My bet is Anthony Gonzales and Austin Collie get some up tick, but Dallas Clark is going to turn into Peyton Manning's go-to guy.
- While Joseph Addai has not blown anyone away, why is everyone singing the praises of Donald Brown. He might get a few carries, but can he block? One blown assignment that gets Peyton on his back and he won't see much time.

Jacksonville:
- Other than Maurice Jones-Drew, who is going to catch all the balls from David Garrard? No one is talking much about Torry Holt, but I think the one to watch is Troy Williamson.

Tennessee:
- Keep your eye on Justin Gage. Tennessee is still a predominantly run team, but when teams stack the box to stop them, Kerry Collins will be forced to throw. He liked Gage in the pre-seaon and seem comfortable with Gage's ball control, possession routes.

Denver:
- Knowshon Moreno is a toss up for me. He has some competition in Denver, but is the clear starter. Yet, Josh McDaniels is a Hoodie disciple, so watch out for the dreaded RBBC.
- Brandon Marshall and the Broncos are in contract talks to extend the disgruntled WR. There is nothing like money to make a cry baby a happy camper again.

Kansas City:
- Larry Johnson is going to have a big year, bank it. Not top 5, but perhaps top 10.
- Coach Todd Haley has been playing mind games with Dwayne Bowe, putting him in the dog house and recently, re-inserting him into the starting line up. I would put Bowe in as a nice #2 WR this year.

Oakland:
- Do we even need to talk about Oakland? Well, yeah. I think Darren McFadden should have a good year, 1500 combined yards and 6-8 TDs. JaMarcus Russell should should at least be able to hit a back in the flat.

San Diego:
- Antonio Gates has been drafted as either 1, 2, 3 in the TE pool this year. Yet, I am not convinced he is back. I suppose he will prove me wrong, but something tells me his toes injury lingers.
- LaDainian Tomlinson is going to ROCK this year. Top 5, guaranteed.
- Is this the year that Vincent Jackson breaks out? Yes. He will emerge from the shadows and become a tier 2 fantasy WR.

Opening Night Game AnalysisSteelers vs Titans. Nice opening game this year. Should be a brawl, but I don't see this being a great contest from a fantasy perspective... unless you consider the defenses. If you have other options, I wouldn't start any offensive players in this game.
