Hate / Love

Like many of us Football Nutballs out there, I watch ESPN until I start to drool. And while I like most of what Bristol (or should I say Hollywood) puts out, one thing I have not gotten to like is Matthew Berry. Sure, his segments are fine and all, but I can't say I agree with much if any of his conclusions. I have much more respect for his ESPN fantasy colleague, and I forget his name haha! So, every week, "The Talented Mr Roto" posts his Love/Column, so, I am going to call mine Hate/Love. I don't hate everything Berry puts out, but some things are ludacris, and I don't mean the singer. Along with this, I will add in some rants on the other Start and Sit columns out there.

ESPN's Matthew Berry - Love / Hate list

Kevin Smith - Not only is this crazy, it is stupid. Right up there with Peter King picking the Lions to beat the Vikings this weekend. I have great respect for Mr King and his writing, and don't always agree with him, but putting Smith in the top 20 RB starters this weekend is... well... silly.

Matt Schaub - he lumped him in with Owen Daniels, and honestly who cares. Schaub is up against a tough Titans defense, and yes, Big Ben pegged them 300+, he only had one TD. Jeff Fisher fixes what's broke and bottles up the Texans

Percy Harvin - Harvin has a nice game, but not spectacular, take away the TD and it was pedastrian. My feeling is Harvin will have an up and down season. Besides, Petersen, Rice and Berrian are all going off, not enough balls to go around.

Kevin Faulk - I don't see a Hightower-esque game here, even though Berry pointed out how many targets Faulk had. The Jets shut down Steve Slaton and will shut down Faulk too/

Jason Campbell - He is a marginal NFL QB, not his fault entirely. Plus, The weak Ram defense,
which gave up mad stats to Julius Jones, will give up even more to Portis, no need for the Skins to toss it all over. 200 yards and maybe a TD here.

Randy Moss - Berry has 7 others ahead of him this week. I don't buy it. Moss is good for 120 and a TD this week.

CBS Sportsline's Jamey Eisenberg - Start 'Em and Sit 'Em

Trent Edwards is NOT a must start fantasy QB... even with good receiving options and a no huddle offense, he has to prove it to me first.

Jason Campbell again, is not a good fantasy QB option

LenDale White is lossing more and more ground to Chris Johnson, who is clearly the feature back. White might steal a TD here and there, but nothing more.

Larry Johnson was on the sit list for Mr Roto, but I am with Eisenberg on this one, Johnson is more likely to do better than worse.

Braylon Edwards needs to show up before I would put him on a start list... and Denver still has talent at CB in Champ Bailey. Edwards will not take flight in week 2.

DeSean Jackson is in a track meet this weekend with the Saints, and even with McNabb on the shelf, he will get his because he will have to.

Benjamin Watson is not a consistant fantasy TE, and should hit the skids are predicted here.
I will add more to this column next week.
