Depth Chart Analysis - AFC East & North

I started going through the depth charts, taking a look at the note worthy movements and camp battles now that they are nearing their end. Just a few nuggets for you to digest. I will take a look at half the AFC today, an continue through the next few days.

Buffalo:
- Marshawn Lynch is listed as the starter, but inquirying mind want to know how many carries Fred Jackson might start stealing, if not the starting job itself.
- How much will the TO factor influence Lee Evans? Good thing? Bad thing? Well, anywhere TO goes is not necessarily a good thing, but my beat is Evans will see less double coverage and his numbers will go up.

Dolphins:
- If you are going to take a risk with Ronnie Brown this year, think about the handcuff with Ricky Williams... call it running back insurance.
- Interesting that Brian Hartline is listed ahead of Greg Camarillo, but that is mainly because of the major knee surgery Camarillo is coming off of last season. Some have compared him to a poor man's Wes Welker.

New England:
- Fred Taylor is the starter, but I still don't see much value there... too much RBBC from the "Hoodie"- Joey Galloway is going to have a quietly nice year, not outstanding, but nice.

New York Jets:
- Watch the #2 WR race. David Clowney looked really good in the pre-season. Just keep an eye on him.

Baltimore:- Ray Rice is predicted to have a monster year by many pundits, but I am guarded. And he will lose goal line carries. Still, if you are in a PPR league, he is worth a post 5th round risk. And Willis McGahee is listed behind Le'Ron McClain on the charts... interesting.

Cincinnati:
- Anyone have a guess at how good a year Cedric Benson will have? He does have one point in his favor - no real competition for carries is even on the team. I would bet him to be a top 20 RB by year's end, given health and motivation.
- Question - Can the Bungle er Bengal offense return to its former glory? The key? The O-line. 50/50 chance on it.

Cleveland:
- This team is about as irrelevent as any team in the league when it comes right down to it, and this comes from a resident of Greater Cleveland. Keep an eye on James Davis, but no one else warrents much of a look, unless Braylon Edwards cures his case of the dropsies

Steelers:
- I would stay away from the ground game here. Parker might get the yards, Rashard Mendenhall the TDs and Mewelde Moore will get his touches on 3rd down and more. Can anyone say RBBC?
- Can Santonio Holmes be a tier 2 or 3 WR? Not until Hines Ward retires. I would not count on him as even a #2 at this point.
