1) Both Aaron Rodger and Brett Favre played excellent games in the afternoon highlight. 7 TDs and over 500 yards between them, and ZERO INTs. Can't play much better on both sides of the ball.
2) Greg Jennings had a mini-break out game, posting 8 receptions, 88 yards and a TD. The reason it could be a break through, is he FINALLY was a big part of the offense.
3) Ugly game for Kyle Orton. Guess the pass defense of the Ravens is not that bad and there is still some pride in that unit.
4) Ray Rice is making his case for consideration in the fantasy back elite, posting another 100+ and a score game.
5) Have to acknowledge the surprising game from Ryan Moats. Did anyone hear if Steve Slaton got hurt or something? Regardless, 150+ combined yards and 3 TDs is an excellent game.
6) Was there a TO sighting in Buffalo?
7) Cleveland really, really stinks. Derek Anderson makes poor decisions.
8) Are the Browns the team that makes RBs healthy? First Ryan Grant... now Matt Forte. 120+ combined and 2 TDs.
9) Solid QB work in the Dallas v Seattle game. 500 yards and 5 TDs, no INTs for Romo and Hasselbeck. Solid.
10) The RBBC in Dallas is killing the value of all three, Barber, Jones and Choice.
11) I was surprised by the lack of production out of Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams against the Jets without Kris Jenkins.
12) Quietly, Thomas Jones is posting a really great year. Not bad for a guy who was drafted in perhaps the 4th round in drafts this year.
13) If Reggie Wayne isn't the best WR in the league right now... slap me. Consistently good. Yeah, some of that is Peyton Manning, but Wayne runs great routes and has great hands. Sweet 12 grabs with 147 yards and a score.
14) Michael Crabtree is going to be a special player. No training camp and clearly the best WR on the team. Have to tip my hat to Vernon Davis and Alex Smith, not special numbers, but acknowledging the arrival.
15) Strong game for the entire Eagles Offense. McNabb 3 TDs, DJack 86 and a score, Brent Celek with a solid 60+ and a TD, and Jeremy Maclin with a TD as well, then throw in LeSean McCoy with 90 combined and a TD. When looked at on paper, this team is getting scary good on offense.
16) Congrats to Steven Jackson. He has been putting up an incredible season on a bad team and finally scored, with 150+ yards. Stud.
17) How bad are both St. Louis and Detroit? Sans Jackson mentioned above, there isn't another fantasy relevent player on either team.
18) The Giants are looking very human after a solid start to the year. It is like the Saints beat the snot outta them and now they can stand up. Eli and company are really struggling to post fantasy numbers like they did early in the year.
19) Darren Sproles is still the more dynamic player, but I have to admit (pulling fork out of Tomlinson), it seems LaDainian still has something left... at least against is favor team, the Raiders.
20) JaMarcus Russell still sucks as a QB.
21) Wow, another powerful game for Chris Johnson. 200+ and 2 scores. Are you kidding me? And I have to admit the HUGE mistake I made this draft year, when at slot 3, I picked Matt Forte over MJD. I will be eating crow all year as Jones-Drew stuffs it down my throat to the tune this week of 175+ and 2 scores.
22) VY started for Tennessee and they won, but he is not any more fantasy relevent than he was before they benched him last year. Ala Mike Vick. Seldom posted game fantasy numbers.
23) When will the Jaqs admit David Garrard is an average NFL QB at best? He does nothing to make his team better, much less be a steady fantasy guy. Ask Steve (my opponent this week) how he likes starting him this week with Tom Brady on bye.
24) There is no GREAT QB in the history of the NFL, Brett Favre included, that can play so horribly as Kurt Warner. 5 or was that 6 turn overs against Carolina?
25) DeAngelo Williams is making his case as solid top 8 fantasy back again this year. Guess I was wrong at the start of the year, thinking last year was a fluke, one year wonder. Nice game for Jonathon Steward too.
