Ok, I am in only one fantasy competative fantasy league this year. My first three draft picks in this 12 team, PPR league were 1) Matt Forte, 2) Greg Jennings, 3) Brandon Jacobs. Yeah, yeah, I know... my team sucks right? Well, not so fast. I have weathered the storm and gotten a little lucky and at 3-5, am only 1 game outta first in my division... amazing I know. Well, I am looking to improve my team.
Matt Forte - This is a clear case of sell high. With Forte having his best game of the year, admittedly against the one of the worst defenses in the league. He also has an ok matchup in week 9 against Arizona. My thought is to throw him out there in the hopes of picking up a solid #2 WR, perhaps even a low #1. Right now, I have the aforementioned Jennings, Devin Hester and my best pick up so far, Sidney Rice. If I could pick up a Marques Colston, Ocho Cinco, maybe even Roddy White.
Greg Jennings - My issue with Jennings is his lack of consistent targets so far this year. While the past couple weeks are promising, Aaron Rodgers truly spreads the ball around, and his lack of time doesn't let him get the ball to Jennings easily. They have changed his routes a bit, or maybe that was the game plan against Minnesota. If I trade him, and most likely in a package deal, I would want an elite WR or RB for him and Forte (or Jacobs). Vincent Jackson or Reggie Wayne. Chris Johnson or Maurice Jones-Drew.
Brandon Jacobs - Another owner convinced me to take Jacobs (Kris you know who you are) on draft day with the 3rd pick in the third round. I have been suffering from it ever since. Maybe I should make Kris take him off my hands. My issue with Jacobs is he complete lack of production, against showing signs of upticks, especially with Ahmad Bradshaw nicked up. I would readily package him with Forte or Jennings for Michael Turner or Andre Johnson.
Let me know your thoughts if you have one. Maybe all you got is a bunch of marbles upstairs? Haha! Let me hear ya anyhow!
